Psychedelic Police Force
The Psychedelic Police Force was first created in 2036, the year psychedelic cryptography was utilized by a psychedelic terrorist organization which flooded the water system of the Miami metropolitan area with LSD. The entire city was revealed to be covered in hidden messages only visible to those on sufficiently high doses of psychedelic drugs. These hidden messages programmed the citizens of Miami to rebel against the Christofascist government of New Florida, leading to a sequence of high profile assassinations and bombings of churches and buildings. Psychedelic cryptography was first theorized by the Qualia Research Institute in 2017, but real research into these techniques really took off in 2023, the year the Super Shulgin Academy was founded, which trained and produced the first scientists and mathematicians on how to build reliable and repeatable psychophysics experiments. It remained an obscure academic topic until the terrorist plot unfolded in Miami, at which point psychedelic cryptography was considered to be a matter of national security. The Acid Police Force was formed in response to these attacks - highly trained and brainwashed police officers and investigators, primarily recruited from various 3 letter agencies - whose job was to continually ingest psychedelic drugs in order to decode hidden messages and infiltrate psychedelic terrorist groups.
