Operation Fairy Shrimp

Operation Fairy Shrimp is the code name of a covert mission to seed Flags prior to Burning Man 2025. By introducing Flags to the playa weeks during build, it is expected they will become well established by the time the public arrives.

In anticipation of the intense sandstorms, a special "Heavy Duty" version of the Flags was deployed the Sunday before the event, consisting of a shorter 6ft pole and heavier weave of canvas.
