A schismmancer is a memetic solider deployed by elite ultracounterintelligence agencies to damage and disrupt unwanted egregores and dangerous full-stack memeplexes.

The first schismmancers were deployed by the Vexillians in the late 2030's. Utilizing the incredibly potent universal symbolic power of the Flags, they deployed nuclear grade memetic weaponry such as antimemes to blast a hole into the memeplex, initiating external synthesis with a very dangerous nooetic environment, letting "memetic spam" and detritus merge with the disrupted memeplex, causing internal contradictions to be introduced, ultimately leading towards memetic collapse. In other words, a Schismmancer.
